Briones

Esta localidad está situada sobre un cerro que se alza sobre la margen derecha del Ebro en La Rioja Alta. Conserva la trama urbana medieval y parte de la muralla. La villa ha sido declarada Conjunto Histórico Artístico por sus numerosos edificios de interés y su buen estado de conservación. 

En sus calles se encuentra el edificio civil más antiguo de La Rioja, una vivienda medieval y grandes ejemplos de otros estilos como la iglesia de nuestra señora de la Asunción, de planta gótica y torre barroca de estilo riojano y que dota a la villa de su característico perfil. 

El tercer fin de semana de junio Briones celebra sus jornadas medievales en las que se recrea la vida en el pueblo en el Siglo XIV en las que se involucra de una forma u otra todo el municipio.

This town is located on a hill that rises on the right bank of the Ebro in La Rioja Alta. It preserves the medieval urban fabric and part of the wall. The town has been declared a Historic-Artistic Site for its many buildings of interest and its good state of preservation.

In its streets is the oldest civil building in La Rioja, a medieval house and great examples of other styles such as the church of Our Lady of the Assumption, with a Gothic floor plan and a Rioja-style baroque tower, which endows the town with its characteristic profile.

On the third weekend of June, Briones celebrates its medieval fair. The town goes back to the 14th century, and the entire municipality is involved in one way or another.
