Ermita de San Cristóbal

Emplazada en una ladera en el interior de la villa riojana de Canales de la Sierra, la ermita de San Cristóbal, fue declarada Bien de Interés Cultural en el año 1980.

Constituye un ejemplo representativo de ese románico tan peculiar que surgió en las estribaciones de la sierra de la Demanda. Construida durante el siglo XII, sufrió diversas reformas y añadidos posteriores que no le han impedido mantener su espíritu original. Consta de una única nave, dividida en cinco tramos y rematada por una cabecera cuadrangular.

Hermitage of San Cristóbal

Located on a hillside in the interior of the Rioja village of Canales de la Sierra, the hermitage of San Cristóbal was declared an Asset of Cultural Interest in 1980.

It is a representative example of the peculiar Romanesque style that arose in the foothills of the Sierra de la Demanda. Built during the 12th century, it has undergone various reforms and later additions that have not prevented it from maintaining its original spirit. It has a single nave, divided into five sections and crowned by a quadrangular chevet.
