Leza de Río Leza

Está situado en la cuenca del rio Leza a 567 m, en el Camero Viejo. El puente de Leza, a la entrada del municipio, da paso a la boca del imponente Cañón del Río Leza.

Leza se sitúa en la Reserva de la Biosfera de La Rioja, un territorio dotado de una homogeneidad geográfica, climática y paisajística de alto valor ambiental que agrupa los Valles del Leza, Jubera, Cidacos y Alhama, y que fueron declarados Reserva de la Biosfera por la UNESCO el 9 de julio de 2003. El área de Leza del río Leza figura de Zona de Especial Protección para las Aves (ZEPA), “Peñas del Iregua, Jubera y Leza” ya que posee grandes colonias de buitres y otras aves protegidas. Posee diversas rutas de senderismo entorno al Cañón del Leza de gran valor paisajístico y natural.

Leza de Río Leza

It is located in the basin of the River Leza at 567 m, in Camero Viejo. The Leza bridge, at the entrance to the municipality, leads to the mouth of the imposing Leza River Canyon.

Leza is located in the Biosphere Reserve of La Rioja, a territory endowed with a geographical, climatic and landscape homogeneity of high environmental value that groups together the Valleys of the Leza, Jubera, Cidacos and Alhama, which were declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO on 9 July 2003. The area of Leza del río Leza is listed as a Special Protection Area for Birds (SPA), «Peñas del Iregua, Jubera and Leza», as it has large colonies of vultures and other protected birds. It has several hiking routes around the Leza Canyon of great scenic and natural value.
