Mercaforum en Calahorra
Durante dos días, el sábado y domingo de Ramos del primer fin de semana de Semana Santa, la ciudad de Calahorra retrocede en el tiempo hasta convertirse en Calagurris a través de su gran mercado conocido como Mercaforum.
Las calles se convierten en un gran mercado romano donde distintos elementos y escenarios hacen retroceder al visitante 2.000 años en el tiempo y viajar a la antigua “Calagurris Nassica Iulia”.
El esplendor del Imperio revive durante dos jornadas en la Calagurris Imperial donde se ofrecen perfumes, encantadores, oficinas de moneda, artesanos, curanderos, guardias pretorianas, establos… etc, La ciudad, recupera ese sabor de bimilenaria ciudad Romana del Imperio, gracias al Grupo Paso Viviente que viene organizando el Mercaforum desde 1995.
Mercaforum in Calahorra
For two days, on Saturday and Palm Sunday of the first weekend of Holy Week, the city of Calahorra goes back in time until it becomes Calagurris where you can find a large market known as Mercaforum.
The streets become a great Roman market where different elements and settings take the visitor back 2,000 years in time and travel to the ancient «Calagurris Nassica Iulia». The splendor of the Empire revives for two days in the Imperial Calagurris where perfumes, enchanters, currency offices, artisans, healers, Praetorian guards, stables… etc, are offered. The city recovers that flavor of a two thousand year old Roman city of the Empire, thanks to the Group Living Step that has been organizing Mercaforum since 1995.
