El Pico Urbión con sus 2228 msnm domina la sierra, a la que da nombre, siendo una de las más elevadas del Sistema Ibérico. Esta montañas separan las provincias de Burgos, Soria y La Rioja, además de ser la divisoria entre las cuencas del Ebro y el Duero.

The Urbión Peak with its 2228 meters above sea level dominates the mountain range, to which it gives its name, being one of the highest in the Iberian System. This mountain range separates the provinces of Burgos, Soria and La Rioja, as well as being the dividing line between the Ebro and Duero basins.
